I am Kristina Vitkuvienė, a certified yoga teacher who completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training course in India in 2017. That was just the beginning of a wonderful journey. One of my core values has always been continuous learning. Every year, I strive to dedicate time to learning from the best Ashtanga yoga teachers, so I can pass that knowledge on to others.
Yoga entered my life at a time when my office job caused a great deal of stress, and every morning began with tears in my eyes at the thought of going back to work. Eventually, when anxiety and stress became my daily companions and I could no longer see meaning in what I was doing, I decided to leave it all behind and travel to India. There, I not only discovered yoga but also found peace for my soul.
Yoga became a therapy that helped strengthen not only my body but also my mind. It taught me to believe in myself, to trust myself, to seek answers, and not to give up—even when I was the least flexible person in the class. Regular practice strengthened my body and gave me flexibility.
Yoga opened the door to a balanced life, peace with myself, and inner calm. It changed my perspective and taught me to care for the home of my soul—my body.
